Week 1 is down: Run 2 miles 3 days this week. I completed this objective… completely. I even surprised the hell out of myself and ran it under 25 minutes every time. Today, I ran it in almost exactly 22 minutes. I got a little slower each time I ran. Was I more concerned about form? Was I more bummed out because I knew a little better what kind of a mess I was getting myself into? Was it just hotter and yuckier outside? The answer to all of these questions is probably yes.
This coming week I get to “upgrade” to 3 miles 3 days a week…. In Santa Fe, NM. At 7,000 feet elevation. But, hey! It will be chilly in the morning when I got out to run!
I’m nervous/a little scared and very excited to see what next week holds in store for me.
